1980’s ACS Z-48’s with 1980’s GT blue tires. 20” wheels with 20x1.75 tires. Made around the mid 1980’s.. Both wheels are fairly straight. The rims show signs of wear. Rear rim has pad wear marks. Axles and hardware are good. 16” freewheel is good. Tires are dried out and cracking. Rear tire has skidded out areas. Good survivor set of Z-48’s with junk tires that still look cool. Ships well packed in a proper wheel box with plastic axle protectors installed.

Selling this fully restored Raleigh DL-1. Frame has been stripped down and rebuilt, treated for rust and greased all original. Only replacement part is the shifting cable, which is modern improvement, which allows you to adjust the cable tension without turning the rod. wheels and tires are original. Still lots of good years left on the rubber. this frame is a 73 build, but the Sturmey archer hub is a 74, bid with confidence. Great roadster. classic look. and a rare frame.

1980 René Herse Randonneuse One of the last bikes made by the famous French constructeur. With a complete top-of-the-line spec, unlike so many from that era that used fewer proprietary parts. This bike came to Seattle to be photographed for Bicycle Quarterly Press’ latest book René Herse: The Bikes• The Builder• The Riders. We photographed the bike. But in the end, it was not included in the book. Instead, we chose a fully chrome-plated camping bike, a Chanteloup tandem show bike and Lyli Herse’s personal racing bike as representatives of the 1980s, when Jean Desbois built the frames. With beautifully thinned lugs, crisp joints of the dropouts to the stays, and the long tangs Desbois added to the fork crown. The frame displays the balanced proportions that always were the hallmark of René Herse's frames. Seat tube measures 52 cm, top tube is 54 cm(all c-c) The stem is 120 mm long. The stem is the very rare late model, which showcases Desbois craftsmanship– it was filed by hand even though it does not look like it. Four hours of filing went into each stem after the holes were drilled. he told me during the research for our book. The bike is fully equipped with all the special Herse parts: Triple cranks. Stem, front and rear racks, as well as all the special custom-made bolts. It is fully equipped for randonneuring, with specially reinforced flashlights on the front and rear. Most randonneurs no longer used sidewall generators by 1980. Hi folks. Here is a frame and fork that may be Motobecane or Gitane or some other- I don't know. Fork and BB threads are French. I once spent some time trying to compare its features with specs. in Moto and Gitane catalogs from on-line scans. I didn't come to a satisfying conclusion. Number stamped into left rear dropout: 890484- I think it's 1890484 but I can't really make it out. I'm not an expert at evaluating condition of a bicycle frame. I'm just an obsessed hobbyist. I'll just do my best to describe the condition in my opinion. Seat tube: approximately 25" C-T/ 24.5" C-C. Top tube: approximately 23.5" C-C Standover height: approximately 34.25" with 700C wheels and skinny tires. Rear spacing 121mm unloaded It has been re-painted this nice ... moreretro medium-dark green. It's not a great-quality paint job but better than a rattle-can job. There are many chips and scratches in the paint. There's a Reynolds sticker"Guaranteed built with Reynolds 531 butted tubes. Fork and stays"in English) It's pretty clear that this is a replacement sticker and I have no idea if it's genuine. The chrome: in some areas is pretty nice. In other areas it's nicked and scratched. I don't find a significant amount of oxidation. The head-tube lugs appear to be Nervex; they're the fancy curly ringed type. Perhaps the seat lug and BB shell are Nervex as well. The rear dropouts are long Campagnolo with derailleur hanger. I don't find any significant damage-dents. Cracks, bends or impact damage. Because of the French threading. It can be challenging to source parts to fit. So, I'm including a headset and bottom bracket. The headset is a high quality Tange and is nearly new. The BB cups are Sugino.the spindle is? and appears to be long enough for a triple crank. Shipping charge is a guess/ approximately what seems to be customary- from looking at other frames for sale. This is a late 1970's Womens Schwinn Collegiate 3-speed. This bike is all original except maybe the seat. The bike has 26x 1-3/8 Schwinn tires. Both hold air well. The back tires has a little dry cracks. The original paint on the frame is good. There are a few spots where the paint is scratched off. There are no dents in the frame. Here is a very nice Eddy Merckx Faema Edition that is fully loaded with choice Campy components. This bike has a few very minor cosmetic blemishes(minor paint chips) but it is in overall fantastic condition. All of the components are excellent and this bike rides like new. Both rubber brake hoods are torn the right just a little and the left worse but other then that everything else is excellent. The bike was set up to ride with a very nice titanium railed seat and shimano clip in pedals with a pump and water bottle holder but as you can see by the pictures it was rode very sparingly. It is very clean and straight. The frame is either a 59 or 60cm it measures from center of bb to the center of the top tube 59 and to the top of the top tube 60 with the top tube being 58 c to c. The stand over ... moreheight is about 34" I believe this bike is a 1985 and you can tell it has been a wall hanger all its life. Arguably the first"mass-produced" carbon-fiber bicycle available in America. The Eclipse Carbon 7 was imported and branded by Eclipse, who at the time were better known for bicycle panniers. The bike was engineered and manufactured by TVT, a French aerospace company using a seven-layer carbon kevlar tubing designed for guided missiles and rocket propelled anti-tank weapons. Aluminum lugs were bonded to the carbon fiber tubing with heat-set epoxy. TVT is marked on the serial number under the bottom bracket and on the rear dropouts(see photos) As a techie. Carbon-fiber appealed to me as it was the hot stuff of the future. I bought my Eclipse Carbon 7(serial number 08128500) in June 1986 and rode it along with a 1985 Pinarello SLX steel bike well into the 21st Century, when I bought ... morea modern carbon fiber bike. The Eclipse had a magic carpet ride in comparison with the harshness of the aluminum bikes favored by weight weenies of the day. As sold, the fork is a Vitus 979 Dural(aluminum) and not carbon. Machining(early CNC? of the aluminum lugs gave the bike a decided machine-age look unlike the rest of the pack. And unlike today's industrial look of total blackness. Just how rare is rare? I have never seen another Eclipse Carbon 7. Back in the late 80s I met a guy in Tucson who said he had one. But by the time I moved here a few years later, he had sold it. A Google turns up some interesting hits of information, but one must sift through the chaff. Components are primarily Campagnolo Neuvo Record. I. However, chose a Suntour Superbe Pro(53-42 teeth, 175 mm length) crank as I preferred its appearance. The seat post is an American Classic and the headset is a Stronglight. 3ttt bars and stem(length, 110mm) complete the package. A couple of years after buying it, the Campy brake levers were replaced with black aero Dia Comp levers for their trick look and superior feel. This is a Centurion Cavaletto mens vintage Japanese made road racing/touring bicycle. That is in nice lightly used condition. It has a 12 speed Shimano drive train, with Sugino cranks with aluminum alloy crank arms. It comes with 27 x 1 1/4 inch high pressure road tires, that are mounted to Araya Japanese made chrome plated steel wheels. The forks are Tange high tensile tubing. The frame is an extra large at 66 cm( 26 inches) from the center of the cranks to the top of the seat tube, 24 inches from the center of the seat tube to the center of the head tube, and the stand over height is 36 1/2 inches. It would be a good fit for taller riders that are from 6' 2' tall to 6' 8' tall. It is in very nice condition over-all, and rides great. Mint condition 3-speed Raleigh Sports. Rare yellow men's bike. This bike was imported from Nottingham. England and sold from a Tucson bike shop called Russell and Sheppard. It still has the original bike shop stamp on the frame. I purchased it five years ago from someone who had kept it in an attic since the 60s. The frame measures 58cm from bottom bracket to seat tube. So it is a tall frame, but I am 5'5" woman and ride this bike more comfortably than my road bike due to the upright riding position. This is a steel, lugged bike, so it is heavy(I weighed it at about 24lbs. Once you get going on it, you will not find a smoother ride. I always find myself smiling and whistling when riding this bike. It was made for touring and is able to carry substantial weight(groceries, etc) ... moreThe bike has original heron basket holder and heron crank. It also comes with the original owner's manual. And I will include an almost full canister of Brooks saddle oil that I purchased about a year ago(retails for $30) Original Sturmey-Archer internal hub in immaculate condition. It has all original decals, paint, etc. This bike could not be more legit. It does have some chips in the paint, but that is to be expected of a vintage bike. The Brooks B72 saddle was dry-rotted when I purchased the bike. So I replaced it with a matching B72 saddle. However, the saddle does need to have a bolt secured. I do not possess the necessary tools to do this on my own, but it is an easy fix. The bike has been professionally maintained by a vintage bike shop lover in Tucson since I have owned it. He took great care in replacing the dry-rotted brake cables, tires, etc while maintaining the integrity of the bike. I have been using this bike as a daily commuter and it is ready to ride. I am only selling it because I need money for summer tuition. I am incredibly sad to let it go. It has a decent amount of wear, but from what I understand it is a pretty old bike. From what I know from the previous owner it rides fine, once it gets wheels on it. Still has the original handlebars(I think, shown in pics) I'm not too sure how to ship this, so the shipping is what it is for now.
