High quality and made in the USA from an era when the American mountain bike aftermarket was exploding! These bar ends are made from 6061-T6 aluminum and anodized black. They are very lightweight and have nice knurling for grip. They weigh less than 200 grams for the pair! They have been used and carry wear and tear typical of any used part of this vintage; some small scuffs and a scratches. But nothing that keeps them from being used, and isn't too visible once mounted on a bike. No reserve! I recently downsized and moved into a much smaller place and I am having to sell off my collection of bikes and parts. Pick these up for cheap and give them a new lease on life! Coda"Expert" MTB handlebar and matching Coda"ski bend" bar ends. Handlebars are flat but with a slight rake backwards(see photo from above) Handlebar has no dents. Just a little sun fading in the center at the"Coda" logo that was exposed between grips and stem. End caps on handlebar are perfect. You can see where the grips were twisted on but no damage. This is a well-used pair of vintage Onza mountain bike bar ends. I bought these many years ago and installed them on the stoker handlebars on our tandem mountain bike. I later changed to a different type of bar ends that my wife wanted to start using. These bar ends are made of cromoly steel and are in good used condition with lots of life left in them. They have rubber ATI end plugs. The bar ends measure 4 inches from the center of the clamp opening(which would correspond to the centerline of the handlebars) out to the end of the metal. And the end plugs add 1/4 inches more to the length. Please note that the camera angle that I took most of the photos at make the bar ends look somewhat longer than they actually are. I am selling a pretty much brand new pair of Cane Creek Ergo Control II bar ends. I bought these for $45.00+shipping about 3 months ago. I used them on 3 rides and decided I liked the way my bike felt without them better. They have no scuffs or damage besides a white smudge where I leaned my bike up against a wall. These work in conjunction with ODI lock-on grips by clipping on to the grip like the outer lock-ring would. They can be used with regular grips as well.

A beautiful example of US manufacturing! About 180mm from center of bar clamp to center of the open end(hypotenuse) Alternatively. Around 205mm from center of clamp to end as measured along the outside. Has both original bar plugs. One insert came unbonded due to a somewhat seized bolt but has been repaired(and the bolt unseized) The other is still bonded. Notice! The bonded threaded inserts of v intage Control Tech products are notorious for coming unbonded. This usually shows up during installation or removal(especially if the bolt has seized) When the insert is being subjected to torque. This isn't cause for despair however, because it is easy to repair: simply remove as much of the old adhesive as you can(an awl does a fair job) lightly scuff the mating surfaces, clean both sides using ... moreacetone, apply JB Weld sparingly with a toothpick. And use the bolt to draw the insert into place. Once in place, remove the bolt to verify that no epoxy got in the threads of it or the insert(very important step to guarantee success! wipe away any residual JB Weld with some acetone(especially any in the threads or that might get in the threads) and reinstall the bolt. I like to install the part onto the handlebar/steerer/etc. so that I can put a little tension on the insert, because JB Weld is strongest when it's filling a fairly tight gap and also to ensure the insert is in good alignment. If you don't like the sound of this. Don't buy vintage Control Tech products with bonded inserts! For condition details see condition description and the pictures above.
