From 1988, this is a 24 inch front wheel built with a Shimano sealed bearing hub and a silver Araya 7X rim. This wheel is round and true. The hub spins smoothly with no hesitation or wobbling. The rim is clean - no dents, no gouges, no damage, save for a bit of wear/oxidation on the braking surface.

Old school araya wheels with Suntour hubs. Suntour (bh1000 and bh1100) hubs are ZE stamped which will make them 1983 Ready to ride.Some scratches and scuffs as I pictured. They spin well but could use some grease. Suntour freewheel looks like it has some cracks on the edges. Took them for a spin and didn't feel any slack.Rear Wheel has a 1mm hop. Used rebuilt Araya 26 x 1.75 Made in Japan rim set Rims are near mint, no heavy brake wear, no flat spots, no dents or signs of heavy use. These were found hanged in a garage laced onto old mtb joy tech hubs which were rusty. Relaced into some new Sealed Bearing Alloy hubs with full stainless steel spokes and blue aluminum nipples. Araya Himiko Rims RARE MIDSCHOOL BMX. Condition is Used. Here I have a set of Araya Himiko RB-J1 rims. Both rims have peppering to the chrome. The one that was the front rim is in better shape but still rough. The rear rim has more peppering than the front and slight brake rub on the sidewalls. 700D sizes rims. Short lived wheel sized mainly by GT. ISO is 587. 650b/27.5 tires can be mounted and ran with no issue. Some wear and tear. Hubs are smooth and rims are true. Please refer to pictures and contact with any questions.

One pair of slightly mismatched rims. Both are 32 hole but one is bright, shiny silver ano and the other is dark gray Super Hard Anodized. I ran these as a pair on my old Schwinn High Sierra but now they are available to be yours. Both are straight and strong with some brake wear and no dents. Silver rim also has Wheelsmith decal, serial number 073869. New Araya and RM-20 and Super Hard Anodized decals are readily available on Ebay. That gold Wheelsmith decal is pretty rare though.

Vintage MTB Wheelset Araya Shimano Parallax Sakar Ringyo Femco 30mm OD. Condition is Used. This is my mismatched trainer wheelset. I never used it, since having another kid haha. The rims are super stout and wide, run true and even. I lost the front skewer, if I can find it I will include it.

This rear wheel is for loaded touring or randonneuring. I don't know what it came off of, maybe a Raleigh, because the width is right for when they were using Araya rims on their touring bikes. The internal width is 20.4mm, so it will easily handle tires 35 mm and larger. The hub has a large flange with 40 spokes so it will handle loaded touring. It takes the standard 6000-RS cartridge bearing which are inexpensive, and easy to find and install. The wheel spins true and there is no damage to the ... morespokes. The brake surfaces are in very good shape. The black anodizing is rubbed off, which is shown in the pictures, but it is not abraded off with grit which leaves grooves. It is more polished off. There is one scrape on the braking surface which is shown in a photo. If you have questions, please ask.
