Very rare and beautiful Campy Record Skewer Set. These are the most sought after of the Record skewers and it's easy to see why- the levers are simply beautiful and the end nuts have the classic handles. I have seen these skewers listed for $169 FOR A SINGLE SKEWER. My start price is that for the original matched pair. These are from the late 1990's/early 2000's period. From the Record Titanium Groupset. Please examine all 12 large pictures to see precisley what you are buying! Excellent c ondition as pictured. Some tiny hardly noticeable marks but overall these are v ery very nice indeed. They shine for Italy! These were NOS until last year, and have since hardly been used. Made in Italy of course. Classic curved and cut-out levers with"CLOSED" and"OPEN" engraving ... moreon either side of the lever. Brev. Int. Campagnolo" engraved on BOTH ends(both lever side and spin nut side) classic moveable handle on nut. These have seen very little use thus function perfectly. No play, just smooth and tight. Steel shafts. Despite being from the Record Ti gruppo. Campy puts function over weight-saving here choosing to not use titanium shafts which flex when being tightened resulting in a lower clamping force and even wayward steering under descending/braking load up front. I believe part of the lever pivot/cam mechanism may be titanium though? It looks to me to be the same metal as used in the titanium hub pawl carrier on the Record Ti hubs. Suitable for 100mm front and 130mm rear OLN. But can of course be filed/cut down for use with 126mm OLN rear too of course. Shipping is FREE to the entire USA. And Worldwide at cost. RWS Ti skewers in excellent condition. These are a great design that twist on instead of opening the lever like most QRs. This is just as fast or faster for a fork with"lawyer tabs" And to me it feels more secure. For some reason the red ano tab on the rear QR has faded more than the front. Even though they were used the same amount. That one also has some minor scratches from the bike being set down. Never crashed, and no other damage or issues.
