This is a Campagnolo Record threadless headset. Size is 1 inch. The carbon top cap is missing but an FSA cap as pictured is included. Headset came with a frameset I bought and I'm changing over to a chris king and I have no use for this one. Some scratches and some small corrosion marks on outer surface. Up for sale is(1) Chris King headset 1" threaded with Grip nut. The top nut has a crack on the top but doesn't effect functionality. Probably from someone bottoming out on a steertube. The nuts in general have lots of tool marks/gouges and don't look the greatest, but all threads are smooth and work fine. The bearings turn fine but have wear, and are not silky smooth. One bearings spins freely/good but is rough, the other bearing drags a bit but feels smoother. I have never personally used this headset, so I'm not sure what the bearings will feel like once installed. The cups measure aprox 32.7mm and are designed for old school BMX bikes. This headset will not work on most roadbikes, as most roadbikes usually take 30.2mm cups. Digital caliper measurement is not exact, caliper ... morenot included, fork not included. This is a Hope Star Fangled Nut. Color is Gun Metal. It doesn't have the rubber ring but you dont need it anyway. Its in great shape with only a few small scratches on the aluminum wedges that you don't see when its installed anyway. Basically the star fangled nut acts as the star nut and top cap for pulling your headset together. Instead of the star nut grabbing the aluminum on the inside of your steerer tube it uses a wedge that expands when you turn the inner screw and uses friction to hold your headset tight. This is great for carbon steerer tubes or if you just dont like hammering your star nut all the way through to remove it. Paypal only please
