This vise has many features not found in other vises. Like a battery operated spotbeam torch to illuminate the fly while you are tying.A second feature is a magnifying glass with long focus to ease eye strain.The jaws are made from superhard special stainless steel. Because of this. And the parallel adjustment of the jaws, it can handle any hook size, from 4 inches to size 32. The salmon fly in the vise is a 9/0. You are bidding on a hand made fly fishermans lamp that I built several years ago. I built it when I broke the last tip on my bamboo rod and didn't want to retire it.The book and the base is cut and carved from a solid cherry tree that lightning decided to take down one summer. The creel and net is pretty old. But not as old as the Bamboo rod and old reel. As you can see in the picture they look new. The lamp has a 3 way switch and the cord is pretty long. I would be afraid to ship the shade as it would cost more than you could buy one for. I've had this in my office since I built it and now it's time to let someone else enjoy it as I have no one left here that would truly appreciate and care for it. This is a great set of hackle pliers- a must have for every serious fly tyer. Useful for wrapping delicate hackle on flies. And because it is a rotary tool, it is especially when making parachute flies(i.e. Parachute Adams) Rubber tubing on one half of the jaws for a delicate. Yet secure grip, on the hackle. Stainless steel jaws. The bottom of the handle is a half hitch tool. The pliers are used. But they are in like-new condition. They've been used less than a dozen times. I'm selling because I don't have much time to tie flies any longer.

I have up for auction a Dyna King Professional with a custom base and matching caddy with oak tool holder. I built all parts for this set out of machined or cast aluminum. The round bases are all solid cast aluminum with black leather lining on the bottom. The round dished bases are especially handy for storing tools while tying. The heavy weight of the bases makes the vise exceptionally stable. I am the original owner and have had this set for over 20 years but only used it a dozen times. However for international sales we will only ship"Priority" due to complaints of not being able to insure first class, and the timely durations of First Class mail delivery, which has caused negative feedback for us.
