Up for grabs is a hard-to-fin Rohloff SLT-99 chain for 8 speed drivetrains. This chain came off of a 1991 Campagnolo C-Record equipped bike that spent 99% of it's life on display. It was occasionally ridden. Perhaps once or twice a year, the bike was in near-perfect condition with just several hundred miles of use. It was used with a 39/53 crank, and a 12-26 cassette, so it should be long enough for any double-crank set up. It has minimal wear at most, and should still have at least 95% of it's life remaining. This was by far the finest chain available back then, it was very costly, but provided superior shifting performance, and was thus spec'd with Campagnolo's top-tier C-Record group. Our responsibility if a spoke breaks too easily causing damage to property or injury to a person is limited to refunding the amount the buyer paid for the spokes that broke too easily. Although we have repaired many bicycle wheels by putting used spokes in them and never had any trouble. Our opinion is that it would be better for a person to put new spokes in bicycle wheels ... morebecause they look better and will probably not break as easily as used spokes. You can see the best information on the internet about wheelbuilding. Replacing spokes, and truing wheels by putting this in the Google or Yahoo SEARCH: BICYCLE WHEELBUILDING- SHELDON BROWN. Or put this is search: TRUING BICYCLE WHEELS. Or. Put this in search: HOW TO STRAIGHTEN BENT BICYCLE RIM AND TRUE WHEEL This is 5 USED spokes and nipples. The diame ter of the spoke is 2 mm. It is the diameter that fits most bicycle wheels. It is NOT for the heavy duty wheels that have extra large diameter spokes. The length of the spoke is about 7 5/8" You will need a 3.2 mm spoke wrench to tighten the nipples( or maybe 3.3 mm) A spoke wrench IS NOT INCLUDED with these spokes. The spokes and nipples are not as shiny as they once were. They have rust on them. We will rub them with steel wool to make them look better. Please measure your spokes to see what length you need. TO MEASURE THE LENGTH OF A SPOKE: The length of a spoke is the distance from the end that has threads to the curved part(elbow) of the spoke. Notice that you measure from the INSIDE of the elbow to the other end. You do not measure the entire height of the spoke when the spoke is standin

This is an excellent condition Surly Singleator. If you are looking at this. You know what it is for. There are no signs of wear, scratches, or really any signs of use other than a tiny bit of dirt. I had this on a bike in 2006(literally) for one month after buying it brand new. It worked perfectly, I just went back to gears. It has sit in a box since. I am sure someone can do better than that.

Up for auction is a very rare Shimano Yumeya CN-YM81 XTR/ Dura-Ace 9-Speed Chain. This chain was part of the Yumeya hyper highend Shimano add on group. It has hollow pins and a Ti nitrate coating to seperate it from the normal CN-7701 chain. It was on a 44t chainring and 32t rear cassette and has 106 links. It was used very little and I checked it with my Park Tools Chain Checker and it has.50 stretch which is still within a new chain measurement tolerance! For sale are 2 Sachs Sedis sport 5. 6, 7 or 8 speed chains. 1/2 x 3/32. Used. There are about 220 total links in that mess. Do not know how many miles are on these chains. One of the chains feels and looks new. There is still embedded grease between the links The other one feels tight and is more flexy than the one that looks new. Both visually have no signs on rust on them. They will not work with 9, 10 or 11 speed systems of any brand. Worked ok on campagnolo 8 speed not sure of Shimano 8 speed. 2 used chains. 10 speed width. The Campagnolo chain has 106 links and is worn just a hair over 1/16 inch over 12 inches. The Vuelta Hollow pin chain is worn to just under 1/16 inch and has 105 links(missing the speed link) Both of these chains fit the 53-26 gear combo on my bike with 2 links to spare. If these chains are allowed to wear over many more miles, they could cause noticeable wear to cassettes and or chainrings. However, if you're putting them on a bike that doesn't get high miles or a bike with worn components, these could be a good inexpensive option. Check out my other auctions. SRAM PC 890 Bicycle Chain This auction is for one used SRAM chain. The chain is made for an 8 Speed set up. I will work well with 6/7/8 speeds. It will work with 9 speed set ups but with a small amount of chain rub in outer/inner combinations. I am normally a Shimano guy but when it comes to chains I always get SRAM chains with the Power-Link function. It is awesome! The two half links you see pictured simply connect and stay in place due to tension from the front and rear gears. Easy on. Easy off. I am the only owner of this chain. It has seen 1000 or so miles but I have been very kind to it. I have kept it oiled and cleaned on a regular basis. Sram 8 speed PC68 Chain. This is a very good Sram 8 speed chain(2nd from top of the range) Used but still tonnes of life left- see picture below of chain checker set on the 0.75 setting(when that goes all the way down it means you replace the chain but cassette is still ok)
