It measures approximately 2 7/8" in diameter and approx.1 5/8" across. Measured inside to inside. I can't quite decipher the number imprinted on bottom. It's in excellent condition from both an appearance and mechanical viewpoint. This is a nice reel with very few imperfections. The is a Pflueger Auopla No 2479 along with its correct box.The reel is Ex in appearance having only a very small amount of wear on bottom of foot and cross bars. Truthfully. It's rare to find an Autopla as nice as this one. The box has substantial wear but labels are all in place and it's solid. As can be seen in the last pics, one side of the box has a loss and bottom of box has been reinforced with tape. Inspection date appears to be 1943. A very nice vintage Abu Garcia 60001 C Left Handed. This reel is absloutely gorgeous for its age. I just looked what is for sale in Ebay for this model and they are really ratty beat up examples. This real is not flawless but almost The opposite side of the handle has a couple very light scratches. They are so light the camera wasn't able to photograph them. I'm alittle picky and Like sellers who take accurate good quality zoomed photos for us to look at. So that we can make a accurate decision on our purchase. This old Ambassadeur 5000C has been cleaned and works just as it should. It has the small twin handle which is correct for this reel. It has some boat rash on the side plates and a pretty good"ding" on the left side plate which is clearly seen in the photos. The bearings are a little noisy compared and may need to be replaced in the future if you fish with it. It does still perform just as it should now however. NO RESERVE and NO international shipping. It was advertised by the maker as the"Top of the Line" This reel is funcionally excellent, however is missing a bail that fits across the level wind mechanism. Vintage Richardson Talbot Tournament Casting Reel"Wm Stanley Model" made by The Richardson Rod& Reel Co. in Chicago is a free-spool reel and in excellent condition. The free-spool operates by pulling the handle out to disengage the gears and pushed in to re-engage them. The reel comes with clear sapphire jewels and a click. This is a scarce variation made in the early 1920's after the Talbot Company was sold to Richardson. The Richardson stamping on the head plate is faint. But clearly visible. You can still see the circular machining marks in the head plate. The reel also comes with an aluminum spool and a balsa wood arbor. See photos for condition. Up for Auction today is a Hendryx#60 silver plated reel from the late 1800's to early 1900's. The reel shows use but is in good condition with all parts. I believed they called this there"raised pillar" model The letter 60 is stamped on the bottom of the reel meaning that it held 60 yards of line and also describes the model size. The reel has the pat dates of March 21 1876 and July 10 1888 The Andrew B. Hendryx Co. New Haven, Ct. had been manufacturing bird cages and other wire products for over a decade by the time it first advertised its fishing reels in 1887. The wooden box is dovetailed on the ends and has small closure and an emblem with the words KUNGI_HOVLEVERANTOR. There is a small sticker on the bottom with the words Made In Sweden. The cast control still works fine and the reel is smooth. But you can see that this must have been a favorite of some fisherman long ago who never wanted to replace it. There are signs of fairly heavy wear in a lot of places, and the click is about as weak as it can get.
