I have two(2) fly rod storage tubes. The blue one is 39" and the green one is 37 1/2" The blue one is made of cardboard and green one is metal. Need a fresh coat of paint. The metal one has several dings/dents. Not pretty. But works. The blue one has a screw on cap and the green one is split-screw together type.

I am sellig my fishing rod. My father had it made for me. It is 6 ft tall and made of split bamboo. All guides and wiring(threads) are in excellent condition. I am including a reel but I make no claims for the reel. The rod was used about a dozen times for salt water fishing. I am also including a boys 5 ft fiber glass rod and reel. Up for bid is an old Montague split bamboo fly rod Both rod tips have been shortened due to operator error! No one ever said that learning to fly fish was easy. One tip is probably 3-4 inches short and the spare tip is 12 inches short. Both are repaired and in fine condition. Up for auction is what appears to be a lightly used bamboo fly rod. I am not familiar with the history of this rod but other than some damage to the cork grip. pictured) it appears to be in very good condition. There are a total of five pieces. Three of them can be assembled to make about an 8' rod. There is an extra tip for this 8' configuration. The tip and mid-section can be removed and a different tip can be added to make a two-piece rod that is about 5-1/2' long. The guides on this tip are different from the guides on the other tips. It's almost as if it can convert from a fly rod to a bait casting rod. I cannot find any markings on the rod indicating a brand, model name or number, weight, etc.nothing. You are viewing/ bidding on a vintage Hardy Bamboo Fly Rod. This model is The Marvel. This rod was my grandfathers and he used it for trout in Maine. The rod is in perfect condition with the dark olive cloth rod bag and aluminum/ nickel silver rod tube. The history of this rod is not known. And it appears to have been restored to showroom quality. The rod is three piece, 7 ft, 3" long with twin tips and looks to be designed for 3-4wt fly lines. The reel seat is stamped with the Hardy Bros. engravings, and with the letter"E" and numbers 1798. Just above the nickel silver winding check, the name"The Marvel" and other writing appears. I cannot fully read the writing. The nickel silver ferrels are in perfect condition. There are two tips, and each are exactly the same ... morelength. This is an incredible rod, and would be an incredible addition to any collection. I got it in a trade 20 years ago and set it aside but have never fished with it. Always though of it as a collector rod. It is near mint condition. All pieces are full length and the wraps are excellent. You can fish with it the day you get it. It comes housed in the original sock and Custom Shop tube. This listing is for a vintage Heddon one-piece fishing rod. It is used/pre-owned. It is clearly marked" HEDDON" I see no model number or year indicated. I am not a fishing enthusiast or collector. I am describing this item the best I can from what I see. The shaft of the rod appears to be made of graphite. The handle. Both before and just after the reel area, feels like cork to me. I see a couple splits to the cork positioned in front of the reel area but there is no cork actually missing anywhere. The integrity of the rod still appears to be fine. This rod measures nearly 61 inches from tip to handle bottom. The winner must supply their own reel, fishing line, bobbers, weights, hooks, lures, etc. This rod saw typical use in its day. Exceptional vintage bamboo flyrod by H.L. Leonard. The rod is an 8 foot. 3 piece, with 2 tips. The finish of the rod is honey color and is a catskill style small 4 1/4" cigar handle with 3 1/4" butternut reel seat, nickle-plated hardware, dark red original silk wraps with English reverse twist snake guides. The furrel tip has the patent dates of Sept.3, 1873 and below that Oct. 26, 1875. All pieces are equal in length, the finish is in excellent condition and wraps are in same condition. The metal case which is the Leonard comes with the rod, but the screw cap is missing. The rod bag is not original but works. The 2 female furrel plugs are intact and included. There is no serial number, which dates this rod prior to 1964 but is probably much older after researching similiar rods ... moreand contacting the company. Need a project to produce something very nice. This old 6 sided Shakespear bambo fly rod just might be it! The reel keeper says"1301-8-81/2 SHAKESPEAR made in the U.S.A. Pat. No 1.510.906. Some of the thread wrapping is coming loose and it may be missing a lower eye. Both the tip and the extra tip are missing the top eye but the bambo allseems in good shape. This is a newly rebuilt smallstream split bamboo fly rod in three pieces with extra tip seven foot two inches long in four weight.The rod is built with blanks from a Southbend 323 shortened at the male ferrule ends and uses all premium components.The reelseat is nickle silver cap and ring type the cork grip is in the western style and"A" grade. We used all black line guides and tip tops the stripper is stainless and the hookeeper is silver ring type. This classic Fenwick rod is in very good condition. Immediately fishable. This is a 7 foot rod weighs 7 1/4 oz. and is designed for 1/2 to 1 ounce lures on 8 to 15 lb. line. The cork grips are very lightly soiled. The maroon anodized aluminum reel seat is embossed the the Fenwick eagle logo. The rod is serial number M 041780, which may tell the Fenwick aficionado the date of manufacture. All guides have imitation agate inserts. All of the decals are intact. This is a great fishing rod.

This is a hard rod to find. Especially in this condition. The rod is virtually unfished. The only sign of use is a slight, very slight discolouring of the cork handle. On offer is a Dermot Wilson. The Wallop Brook' 2pc, Split Cane Trout Fly Rod built by Constable of Bromley. The rod measures 8' 2" in length and is for use with lines rated at#5/6. The rod comes in its makers cloth bag and in a protective alloy tube. You will note from the picture that the butt section is shorter than the tip which was peculiar to the Constable rods. Their thinking being that the tip is where the action came from. It is made to sit comfortably in the rod bag by using an elongated ferrule stopper which helps protect the tip when in carriage. This rod was built Circa 1910. It is made out of two solid pieces of wood. The handle or butt section was probably shaped by hand from a single shaft to form the handle which has been tapered to form the butt section of the rod. You will find the name of the rod on the butt section. It says'Leonard' Has it been hand written in ink, stencilled or transfer printed? The rod has a rubber butt stop with a brass butt plate. That plate bears the Hardy Trade logo and address along with the Post Number: A55481. The butt section is fitted with the Hardy'W' Reel Seat mount which is nailed to the wood. Above this you will find a sliding brass ring with which you secure the reel in place. The two parts of the rod are joined with male and female brass ferrules. The rod is equipped with brass ... moresnake eyes apart from the tip eye and this is what makes the rod a collectors item. The tip eye. As can be seen in picture 4 is hinged and is in the form of an enclosed roller wheel. The fitting carries the patent number: 313685. What we have here is a highly collectable Fenwick Boron x steelhead rod. XFS 83 6-17 lb. 1/2 to 5/8 ounce lures. These are extreamly rare and almost non existence any more. It is in great shape, but is a used rod with normal wear on it. This would make a great plug rod or summer run rod

Rare late 50's early 60's Fenwick Feralite FS70 4 7/8 oz. Seven Foot Spinning Rod with Case and Cloth Sleeve. This Fenwick is a pre zip code rod which makes production before 1963. The rod is in great condition with only some scratches on the reel seat. The original Fenwick tag is also included and not often found with a rod of this age. The guides are all excellent and the wraps are complete. Tight and glossy. The original rod tube is cardboard and shows less than average wear. The rod sleeve is cloth with the Fenwick label and has three little wear holes and the fabric is still strong and supple. This is a gently used and well cared for rod ready to fish or add to your collection.

A double handed ABU Zoom 3 Spinning Rod first introduced to the fishing world in the 1966 edition of ABU Tight lines. This rod has seen some use. But the Blank, whippings, rings, ferrules and cork handle/ ABU Allround sliding reel seat are all in good used condition. This is a Fishing Code Zoom 2/ 3 rod. 2 piece and 9 feet long– designed to handle lures 10 to 50g. She is finished in natural brown. Complimented with dark blue whippings and is fitted out with the usual sprung stainless steel Abuflex rings. The butt ring is the typical of the period, overlarge– to ensure long frictionless casting with a fixed spool reel. She benefits from the early screw on butt cap which later changed to the glued on version ... moreon rods like the later Atlantic 405. She has the gold nomenclature badge which states her model name and bait weight range and Garantispo badge. Her Garantispo number is difficult to make out but looks like 49#904. You are bidding or a very rare 1960's Garcia Conolon Model 2040 USA 8 foot dry fly action 4piece pack rod/ travel rod in excellent condition. The rod does not have any paint or stars on it for grading its level. I believe that would makes it a pre 1965 Deluxe Garcia Conolon rod from the information I found on it. Printed on the lower decal is 2040 8' Dry Fly Action. Use: D-HDH-GBF which I believe means the rod was meant to be use with AFTMA line weight from of 6- 8 that’s my best guess. According to the blogs Garcia Conolon 2040 Deluxe Series was their first pack rod. I shot extra pictures in higher resolution to show the rod’s condition. It does not shows any signs of ever being fished with or used from what I can tell. The gold O- ring ferrel’s show no signs of being pressed together ... moreore does the reel seat show signs of a reel ever being placed on it. The Decals are as if the came straight from the factory as is the coating on its wrapped ferrel ends. The guides/ snake have never been bent or repaired nor has their wrapping threads show signs of use. There are some very tinny scratches on its glass& metal surfaces. Take the time to examine the pictures below to see what I have described. If you’re a collector of rare rods or just want to fish with a very rare Garcia’s Rod from the 60's it will be a long time before a rod of this condition& caliber will be offered again. This is a newly built two piece with single tip split bamboo fly rod seven and a half foot long in two weight. The rod is built from all premium components including a nickle silver cap and ring reelseat on a maple wood insert with a full well cork grip in"A" grade.We used all black line guides and tip top the stripper is stainless the hookeeper is silver ring type. The cane is finished with three coats of spar varnish and is wrapped in teal.We lawn cast the rod and suggest two or three weight line the action of this rod is slow almost parabolic and will be great to get a small fish on.

An original finish Hardy'The No. 2 Wallis Allround Rod' 11ft. three piece, whole cane butt, middle and top sections split cane, complete with original bag and stoppers and as strai ght as the day that it left Alnwick. The number on the butt of the handle is G22088. I'm sure the more experienced collectors will be able to date the rod more accurately than myself but I put it in the 1950's. This rod has been in my collection for the past 15 years and I have only used it once. For tench fis hing.
